Default I think I wasted all my money, HELP!?!?!?!?!

I have been talking to some very well known tuners and most tuner don't know much about the f22b2 engines. I have a 1997 Accord LX w/ this motor. This motor is SOHC non vtec. All the tuners said that my power goal will be bery hard to achieve. For some reason deep inside me I still think that it can. Don't ask me why but I really think it can. I see d-series engines get 350HP at like 16-18psi and why can't I get more at the same psi because my engine is bigger correct? The only thing I can see restricting me is my head. I think I can run at least 25psi without lifting my head. Here is my setup and please let me know on what it can do. The motor is built and the turbo is about to be put on. My HP goal is to break 400HP, but now i'm not sure if that can be achieved (all the money I put in to this build seems like a total waste)

SETUP:
Wiseco 85mm Forged Pistons
Crower Billet Rods
CP Piston Rings
ACL bearings
ARP Head Studs
XTD Stage 3 Clutch
XTD 11lb Chromoly Flywheel
Rebuilt Stock Head
(A/C removed, P/S removed, All EGR and Emissions stuff removed)

Holset HY35 Turbo
SPF Manifold
3" Downpipe
3" Straight Piping Side exhaust
2.5" Intercooler Piping
31x11x3 Intercooler
Tial 50mm BOV
Tial 38mm Wastegate
3Bar Map Sensor
550cc RC Injectors (I might need 750cc for the power range)
AEM Fuel Rail
Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator
Stainless Fuel Lines
Greddy Catch Can
P06 Chipped for Uberdata ( might be switching to Crome Pro)
Boost, Oil Pressure, and EGT Gauges

PLEASE LET ME KNOW on what you guys think about this setup, if you suggest anything please let me know. I want to hear your comments about this setup.

I also think your goal will be hard to reach with the stock head. You should consider getting some headwork done, or maybe even a headswap.

what compression did pistons did you end up getting. You can always do a h22 head swap, that will open up your breathing. With that head you will also lose about .5 c/r.

I am sure you have it but not listed is a bigger fuel pump.

Sounds like an enjoyable build and good to see a bold SOHC build.

I never knew you could do a H series head with an F series block. Of course I knew some parts were interchangalbe but nothing like this. Anyone else done this before?

yup the heads will swap and if you were to put an h22 head on there you would make a whole **** load of more power over your current head i wouldnt be surprised if you gained over 100hp out of it

most d series take about 20 psi to hit over 350
there are a few guys making 300whp to 320 on 15 psi, but those are with VTEC heads
Your going to have to run race gas and alot of boost to hit 400whp on ur none vtec k series
why not a VTEC head don't want the extra 50whp or so?

i wanted to be unique that's why i wanted to keep it original.... Yes i do have a 255 Walbro Pump.... also jeff evans said the same thing that,"Your going to have to run race gas and alot of boost to hit 400whp".... I didn't know vtec made that huge of a difference on SOHC heads....

My Compression now is 8.8:1 so after the h22 head swap it'll be 8.3:1 which would be sick for high boost, but i think that's too much work and no one has done that swap on the f22b2 and i wouldn't wanna be the first to try. I know it has been done to the f22a block but I really don't care cause that's obd1 block and mine is obd2, I would want something that is layed out and I know what to do. I guess I'll just have to do some crazy Headwork like the PINKS hatch...

well your head architecture is much different than lets say a d16z6 head just and fyi, the f22 head sorry to say it but flows like **** compared to pretty much any other head except the d15's lol, its a huge hinderance of power in your setup, think of it this way you should free up power before you force it to make power.

im not sure if no one noticed this, but u didnt mention anything about head studs. are u running stock ones?? god i hope not, unless theres something about f series motors that i dont know about. u could just put a non-vtec dohc head on the motor and keep ur cost down

HAHA read my first post again... I have ARP head studs.. i know people said that the f22b2 heads suck... I might think about doing the f22a6 head swap )heard those flow a lot better)

Your block is the same casting as a f22ax block, a headswap would be the same. If you do swap heads, I would recomend the h23. It will raise your CR approximately .2. It will be considerably cheaper than a h22 headswap, and since it is non vtec, it will allow you to keep your p06. An f22ax head would also be a good upgrade. The ax heads have better port geometry, however to reach your goal you will still need portwork, but that's the price you pay for being unique. Either way, you will need a different turbo manifold, and both of them should allow you to break 400.

It has been done. Your block is the same as any other f22 block, obd1 or 2.

With the rods pistons AND HEAD STUDS... ANDDD A GOOD TUNER, I HAVE FAITH THE F CAN DO IT MAN!!!! TWKD95CD5 Was getting 335hp off a stock block tuned by superdave @ the whip factory..... **** I remember you chiming in on my setup impushing a biover 260 hp and 270 tq at 10 psi on a t3/o4e 57 trrim stage 3 48/60 snail.... conservative tune- COMPLETELY stock f22b1. I think youll be able to get 350 reliably. I believe Chadscar(twkdcd) is on a STOCKblock as well.

Id go with the 750s though...
