Default intake/injectors simple question.

well i have a 94 civic with a b17 turbo hydro gsr trans.

1st.Im looking to get either a Skunk2 intake manifold + 70mm throttle body or a BLOX intake manififold + 72 mm throttle body, ports on both throttle bodies match the intakes listed... so here is my question which is better? the price difference is about 50 bucks between the two blox being cheapest.

2nd. My tuner said I needed to gte 550cc injectors and not 440c because they would be running 100% vs the 550cc at 75% said it would lighten the load. Should i step it up and got a step bigger so I have room when i upgrade the block and head or should I just stick at 550cc Saturated injectors.

3rd, is it worth getting the new composite Fuel rail?

4th is it worth getting the adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator FPR ?

Im buying this stuff come the 1st, so all input welcome

Looking to make about 240whp

If you're going to do 550's at the moment, I wouldn't even touch the intake, TB, fuel rail, or FPR.

People have made 240whp on junkyard D16 setups. A 240whp B17 with all that stuff will have much less torque than a 240whp all-stock-component B17. You can always put this stuff on later. For the price of that stuff, you could almost buy forged rods/pistons.

Now to the injectors. To answer you question, 440's will be okay for 240whp, but not much higher if you dyno more than expected.

For duty cycle: injectors are designed to run 200k+ miles, running them at 75-90% a couple dozen times a day will not do anything to them. The whole 85% duty cycle idea stems from old slow injectors that had such terrible latencies that they can't close & reopen past 85%. Modern injectors can go to nearly 95% at 9k rpm. I know because I've personally tested every type. FYI the "trusted" RC/Precision style is a Delphi design that's as old as your B17.
