install tips on drag gen3
Before you install the kit, throw away the little "tetra check valves" and invest in the "missing link" this will make life much easier - should only take bout 8 hours to do the install

Set aside lots of extra time so you dont have to rush yourself. Have another friend to help is cool too so you guys can bitch together
Buy a box of rubber surgical gloves too. The day before you do the install soak all the nuts and bolts down w/ some lubricant...it'll make your job much easier. Some of the bolts on the stock header were seized so bad I had to torch em just to get em loose. GRRR!

Be prepared to shave parts of your engine to fit the turbo.
Make sure the proper size intercooler piping goes to the correct side.
Smaller on the right and bigger on the left. Happy Building.

do the oil pan first so you can let the hondabond seal up
if you do it last it'll be night out and cold, and might not be able to seal properly. just a thought !

For your first time, there is absolutely no way it will take you 8 hours. Plan on 24.

took me a little over a week for my first install. Second install took me 4 days, could have been 2 days but they forgot to send me the manifold in the kit.
Also, be sure to have enough oil to change it twice, once the turbo kit is installed fire up the car to make sure that it starts, run it for few second (30 or so) shut it off and drain the oil, this will remove all of the **** in the turbo lines, intercooler piping, etc.
Get some colder plugs (two sets) two degree range colder than stock and shut the gap just a little from stock.

Examples:
- You will need to get a flex pipe welded onto your dp
- Get a test pipe of highflow cat(depending on where you live)
- 02 sensors might be a problem, I believe it has something to do with the 12:1 FMU making you run so rich so you might want to invest in getting a 10:1 FMU or waiting to get a Hondata or something.
- with your GSR you will need to shave a little off of the fan to make the turbo fit without rubbing.
- The oil return line that comes with the Drag kit is the biggest piece of sh*t(DO NOT USE IT). If you haven't bought the stainless steel -10 Hose with required AN fittings don't even bother installing it yet, it is a huge headache. I learned the hard way, so now my driveway has oil spots all over.
- As said before, forget about the TETRA ghetto check valve crap that goes on your MAP, get yourself the Missing Link.
- You might want to also think about the wastegate that comes with it(Deltagate), which is known for boost spiking and get yourself the Tial 35mm. This is not nearly as important as the other suggestions, but just keep it in mind.
- Get yourself plenty of sockets(from 8mm to 21mm), open ended wrenches, vac hoses, and loctite for the bolts on the dp.

Changing the oil isn't that much of a necessity just a little insurance per say...it will remove all the dirt and debris that you can't get to but the oil will pick up. For the amount of money you spent on the turbo kit I think that 20 more dollars for some oil isn't that big of a deal and you know that the system is cleaned - we had to grind a bit on the block to get the manifold to bolt up without an exhaust leak, so that was the main reason behind it - Also we installed the turbo kit, a MSD-BTM, and an intank pump in around 8 hours but we had a few people working on it. The next day we installed a new fuel rail, S-AFC, EGT - BOOST - FUEL PRES. guages (Defi). All went smooth except now about a month later the turbo was shot - we believe it was bad from DRAG!!! We didn't see any power loss from the it was installed until we determined the problem with the turbo (extreme wobble).

my first and only turbo install took 10 hrs... cuz i had to drive 20 miles away to get my oil pan tapped. i will mention though that i had another friend with me so everything was relatively smooth and painless.

well, with two people... and lets say i already had the oil pan tapped.. it would of taken less than 8 hours. 80% of the time, more than one person wasnt even working on my car. i installed the greddy turbo, manifold, downpipe, fmu, intercooler, bov, vacuum lines, oil return and sending lines, did an oil change, etc... took 10 hrs.. i had to drive to another city and wait 40 min to get the oil pan drilled. i'm not very car savvy, but i was able to do this real easily... everything fit into place with a BFH here and there.
I have heard from many people that the Greddy is more complete relative to other makers out there, but then again, that is what I have heard, not experienced first hand.
I do know, however, that the Drag kit needs improvement as far as the materials within the kit.
