Default install is done!!

finally i have completed installing a kit on a 98 gsr.
the setup:
turbonetics t3t4 with 3in DP
revhard manifold
tial 38mm wg with 6.3psi spring
precision 350hp IC
greddy type S bov
255 lp pf
RC 550's
Uberdata(soon to be tuned by phiz)
skunk2 IM
i have the map that phiz gave another GSR-T with same exact setup as me. so it is safe to boost. the downpipe flange was different than my exhaust, so im open downpipe as of now, but not for much longer. it feels really good under boost in vtec but takes a little while to spool, not full boost untill about 5kRPM, and i havent brough it past 7500RPM because i dont want to blow it up, im waiting untill its tuned. but here is the problem, the car idles really weird sometimes. it will idle normally and then all of a sudden drop to like 400RPM and just sputter, sound like it wants to shut off and then jump back up. sometimes when i am driving and i am comming to a stop when i push the clutch in, it will shut off. maybe just because i am running so rich? im not sure of what to think now because this is my first turbo car and i am still learning. so any info would be appreciated. also..anything i should be listening, smelling, or looking for? any tips would be good, i dont wana F the motor up, so tell me what to do and not to do! thanks alot

Sound like your running too rich, check your exhaust to see if there any black ****. Im running hella rich right now with the blue box and i smell gas and the muffler tip have them black **** on it...

check your vacum lines it sounds like you have a vacum leak cus when you step on the brakes it draws vacum and if theres a leak the car will die, take a close look, if no leak might be something that will come out in tunning

i dont think its a vacuum leak beacuse if it was, wouldnt the idle be messed up ALL the time? i emailed phiz and he said it is safe to boost, because i have the same map as the tuned gsr-t he did before mine. but im still not going to get on it hard, i pulled first to 7000 and 2nd to 7000 but i wont go higher than that untill its tuned. even though he said its safe to boost, think i should wait till its tuned just to be super safe?

you'll be running leaner since you have open down pipe.

unless the tune was for an open downpipe.

Try cleaning your IACV, or it could have something wrong with it or the wiring to it. I know on my motor it will idle @~400 RPMs and die at times if I unplug the IACV.

Just a thought.
