Default Injectors without tuning?

I just got my new RC 440cc injectors today, my question is if I install them without tuning (d16z6, w/nos) will I run extremly rich or will the ecu keep the current a/f mixture?

I do not get my plx m-500 tell next week, and untill then I do not want to mess with my v-AFC settings.

You're going to run VERY rich, in fact, your motor will probably not stay running.

I forgot to change my AFC settings once, (0% correction with 450cc) and the car started for about 2 seconds, then died.

You can take away 30-35% on your AFC and probably be OK, but I would wait for the wideband to be safe.

if you really want, just set it up like you would a turbo.

set the % to -35 when you are not spraying and then richen it up when you are.

First of all thank you both for your comments.

Second, I have never messed with the v-AFC settings, because I was only running a 55 shot but now I am moving up to a 75, so I am taking all the precaustion.

So, I am not super familier with its settings yet, but how hard is it to change back and fourth between normal, and a more rich setting? I would rather not run really rich when I am not spraying.

I really wish it had some sort of memory option where you could have two or more stored settings

i would wait too, however once you do get your wb this is how i would go about setting it up..... i suppose

ok, you need to read your manual, but i will give you a quick run down.

you can set the amount of fuel going to to your motor based on the RMP you are at. the way the hack does it is in terms of %.

here is an *EXAMPLE*(dont got set your car to this, blow it up, and be pissed at me) lets say you want to spray between 4k-8k

0-4k -35%
(now you are spraying)
4k-8k -15%

what this means is that you are running 440 injectors at -35% and -15% respectively. -35% is about stock, when you up it to -15% you are adding more fuel.

this is very hard to explain assuming you have no knowledge of how to run the hack.....

but you get the idea (hopefully). there should be more than one setting like you were saying you wish you had. i.e. one for when you are spraying, and one for when you just want to grab some TCBY.

hope this helps SOMEwhat, because i just took a physics midterm and the last thing i wanted to do was think

usually im not this helpful, it must be because the OC is on tonight

Thanks for the help once again...

I understand the basic princepals, of the afc hack. You control the mixture on a rpm by rpm basis. Just haven't had a need to do it yet... but you did clear something up in my head as well so all is not a loss

Ok, will definitly wait for my WB. Quick question, and I know it is just laziness not to pick up my manual, but the afc hack will not allow you to control fuel % by WOT does it?

With a zex kit that would be a more useful way to control it, but less room for tuning at the same time.
