Injectors?

Injectors?
Got the AEM fuel rail. Need to kno what injectors I should go with. Any help on this would be great. Also what would be a good fuel system? I will be running 19 - 20 PSI at the track and about 10 - 12 for just around town.
I got a build motor with a 9:1 compression. Below is the list of mods I have so far,
Greddy Turbo Kit
Greddy Type 24 Front Mount intercooler
HKS BOV
JE Pistons
Eagle Rods
JG EdelBrock Intake Monifold
AEM Cam Gears - Red
AEM UnderDrive Pulley - Red
AEM Fuel Rail - Red
AEM Fuel Pressure Regulator - Red
B & M Fuel Pressure Gauge
Hondata HeatShield Gasket
Thanks,
Mike

Re: Injectors? (icantthinkofaname)
Injectors are determined by targeted horse-power.
What stand-alone are you running?
If it's a Hondata, then I go with 720cc injectors.

Re: Injectors? (porsche997)
i dont know if its just me confused, but your plans for 20 psi, i hope they are when your tuned w/standalone... your post says your will get a standalone next summer. Also that turbo is not going to be effecient to 20 psi, also stock sleeves, ummmmm too much, even if tuned properly.
Give us a more clear idea of exactly you are doing, we dont want a blown motor .

Re: Injectors? (icantthinkofaname)
I have a full rebuild on the motor itself. I wil show a list this weekend. Its going to be a build race motor for the car nothing in it will be stock. that is why I said 19 - 20 at the track and 10 - 12 around town. I understand a lot of ppl talk **** about there cars going to be at 20 PSI or they have a full build. I will show you the list and also the price that its going to be. The full rebuild is going to be around $5500 when finished. I just want to make sure that I have all of the right parts and information to have this running right.
Thanks

If it's a build race motor, then spend the money on a stanalone and bigger injectors. Have it tunes, your motor will live.

Re: Injectors? (icantthinkofaname)
Hondata is an excellent standalone and more tuner out there. If your targeted hp is 450 then 720cc, and if 500 hp then 900cc.

I want to be some where around 350hp to 400hp so the 720 would do it? Also that would still be find for daily drivin around town? Do you have a site where I can get some prises for the hondata??
Thanks again for the replies, your help is much appreciated

Re: Injectors? (porsche997)
If you need to look at your reciept/list to tell us the specs of your "race" motor then something is wrong. Not to be harsh but sounds like you a noob wiht a fat wallet. I mean you are building a fully built motor, but plan on running it wiht a greddy kit Do some research, search and make a better decision spending your $. See what setups work with what, and spend your $ wisely.

Yes, 720 would do. Your car will idle like a stock and drivabilty is very good(depend on how good the tuner is). Go to camp1320.com

Re: Injectors? (icantthinkofaname)
Im not bad mouthing you, im just trying to help you out. First when you want a question answered here you have to give details or yoiur setup/ goals, budget to get a good answer. Second im trying to help you out not put you down. In this sport you can spend 10k in parts that dont work together vs, spending 5 k in parts that work well together as a setup and make more power. It's not always about what you spend it's makign sure you have the right combination of parts. There are tons of poeple on this board making alot of whp, there are 10 sec street cars, there are 14 second street cars. Leearn form other memebers setups, see what works and what doesnt.
Need some help figure out what your target whp is and that wil help you with your injector question. Next i think hondata is a great system for a street car and someone who wont be tunng themselves and playing with the options the aem has to offer.

Re: Injectors? (icantthinkofaname)
I don't think anyone is trying to bad mouth you, but your asking about running 20psi, saying you want new injectors, and then going to run a stand alone next summer. Go ahead and change those injectors now, and it's gonna do nothing without something to tune them with. Especially if you want to run 10lbs, then "just" bump it to 20psi. You need the injectors, and the standalone. If you go Hondata you need an obd1 ecu and obd2-1 cable. The greddy kit is a great kit, but not really made for high boost. I've seen good numbers from the greddy kits, but at 20lbs it's not gonna perform anywhere near what a t3/4 is going to. And I only say t3/4 because thats a very common turbo used on Honda's....there are bigger and better. (precision's line which includes a t3/4). Plus at 20lbs, have extra money for axles, larger downpipe, 3" exhaust, better clamps, ARP Bolts, A good tuner. Plus be ready to break things. I am not trying to flame or any of that crap....but someone previously said it's not just cranking up the boost. 20psi is not cheap, and I don't think the Greedy is going to make much more power after 15psi, but I could be wrong. The Greedy is made for people who want a complete kit, for low boost and quick spool, it's not really a 1/4 mile turbo. Not flaming it, cause like I said before I have seen decent #'s from it.
