Injector help
Hello all
As stated in the title. I need help with figuring out what injectors to run. I have an 89 civic hatch with a z6. It will have a chipped pm6 ecu with a greddy tdo4h. I believe that's right it's an older kit. I do not plan to run over 10lbs. Of boost since the bottom end is still stock. I appreciate any and all help.
Thanks
Stacy

Since you're not going to make more than 220-240whp on a stock D series before the rods give up, we will use the higher end of that range as your power goal. As a simple rule of thumb, you can use 6cc per whp to size injectors. The equation is as follows (for pump gas).
240whp x 6cc/whp = 1440cc total injector flow
1440 / 4 injectors = 360cc injectors (at a minimum)
This basically means that if you can find a set of 440-550cc injectors (or even DSM 450s), you will have plenty of injector for your power goals.

They are peak and hold injectors which, for our cars, do require a resistor box.
There are threads regarding the wiring and install of the resistor box in the Forced Induction FAQ (top of the FI Forum). Here is one example...not sure if the pictures will still work since its so old

Another question if I may. This is a z6 swap into an 89 hatch. So I am running a 91 pm6 ecu and a 91 dizzy. Do I still need resister box for DSM injectors. Thanks

yes, IIRC all honda injectors are/were saturated low resistance injectors... at least on the b and d motors as well as the older f and h motors

Post obd0 are saturated high impedance injectors.
As far as I can remember, h series and f series injectors are peak hold low impedance for the accords and preludes, but some may have been high impedance too (ran into this issue with a friends f2b swap)
Like that episode of sponge bob where he has to become a high class waiter and his brain is all like "forget everything except fine dining and breathing" so his brain just dumps out everything.
Yeah, thats how my brain works.
(Note:I have kids, lots of spongebob cartoons in this house lmao)

I'm the same way, if it isn't car related I'll forget even the most basic of things. Lots of "what was I supposed to do" going on... Of course most of that is from my traumatic brain injury from my bad car accident. It's getting better though.. 2-4 years ago I couldn't even remember the last few hours :/
