info on basic turbo setup, is it correct???
i have a civic coupe year 2000 b16a2 engine, i wanted to tune my engine to 250-300 bhp. the tuner i am taking it to said obviously turbo kit, then he said use the bottom end of a integra typr R with my b16a2 head.
Would this work? and if so how reliable would it be? cause i always drive with my pedal to the floor?
also is there anything else i would need so i dont blow my engine?

Yes a b16a2 head would fit an itr block. No you don't need it to make that power your stock b16a2 block would be fine. As mentioned above read everything in the FAQs BEFORE YOU ASK ANY MORE QUESTIONS. You sound like you don't know much about hondas, so you have a lot of research to do.

Haha, I'll spoon feed a little: Op, you can make that power all day by boosting your bone stock B16A2 motor. (ARP hardware advised) Not sure why your tuner would encourage you to purchase the costly Type R bottom end, but that's just silly for your power goals.

was only gettin the itr bottom end because he said the b16a2 stock could only go to 250bhp and that having the stock itr bottom end i could go to 300bhp.

If that's his professional opinion, you may want to consider talking with another tuner. A healthy A2 is good to a max of 350whp (roughly 375bhp). Dial that back to your goal of 300bhp with proper tuning, maintain it well with quality fluid changes at the right intervals, and the motor should take a beating for a long time. B-Series POWAAA!

^^
that is a good read for understanding what your getting yourself into..
Some of it is outdated like FMU,Missing link, etc.. but you can get some knowledge regardless.

Yeah your B16A2 as it sits will do 300-350whp on boost all day long no problem. Either your "tuner" is trying to make more money off you or he does not know what he is talking about. I would find another tuner. Read the turbo FAQ and do some google searching.

you should keep reading and trying to understand more before buying. Looks like your still new and not quite understanding.
the tuner kit is a great kit, but with the log manifold, it will hurt performance past 6k rpms a it doesnt flow too well up there.
I would do the Race kit with the autoworks spec .55 ar to get to your power goals.
dont forget to get these:
New clutch
better mounts
better brakes
better suspension
Adding 3x more power then the car was designed for requires additional upgrades for your and others safety
