Important Gauges Needed?
Now with turbo, I know 2 of the commonly used are Air/fuel ratio, and boost. but what are the needed gauges that should be used. I got an EK planning to go boost not sure on what gauges I'll need. Most I want is 5 gauges and what is the best types/brands. As in types like Digital or analog or whatever. let me know.

EGT being one, fuel pressure can also be used, autometer is very commonly used, for maximum performance defi gauges are the way to go, i like my innovate wideband as well, with its associated gauge.

i only run wideband, boost, and oil pressure. if you want any more than that i suggest you run a tunerview or something you can scroll through different screens. too many gauges and it gets all cluttered.
Wideband a/f gauge, oil pressure, oil temp, egt , boost are most important, anything else is just extra. water temp is good to ave also.
I run an innovate lc-1 with db gauge, garrett boost gauge and then i have a Tunerview II which displays all the engine data from the ecu which is excellent to have if its in your budget

That's my exact setup as well. I've also got Neptune, so if I need a closer look at temps or something I can just run the laptop. Possibly a Tunerview RD1 in the future.
when its time to buy gauges i want it to look nice and all match. i like the look of prosport. I rather get all one brand/ style, gauges either all digital or the kind with the needle.. I'll probably go with prosport, really like the look. ill get the gauges you guys recomended. if not prosport, i like the greddy gauges, but whats the difference between eletrical and mechanical? and whats better to have for AFR, digital reading, the one from lean-rich, or needle with the #s from 11-17

As fare as a AFR gauge....get one that has a digital readout!! These are called widebands and are a lot more accurate than the narrow band (only tells you if you're lean/stoich/rich). This is a must if you do any of your own tuning.
Someone correct me if I'm off base with anything I just said. LOL

Mechanical gauges read a liquid or air from a tube directly into the back of the gauge. A digital gauge needs a sending unit to take the air/liquid and convert it into a digital signal that the gauge can read. The positive of a digital is no liquid plumbing through the firewall and into the cabin. The downside of a digital is the sending unit can go out or become incorrect.

Pro-Sports look nice, i had one as my oil pressure but it broke in a couple of months. they do have a 1 year warranty though however i decided to get an autometer set which work perfect, i rather have longevity then good looks imo. Op just make sure to buy a gauge that you can read on a glance and don't have to decipher (big numbers and good placement). if there is anyone needing some gauges or tri gauge holder PM me (shameless plug)

And the previous post was right. Digital gauges definitely don't go out often, and especially if you buy quality.
I'd go digital with the AFR, the rest of the gauges are personal preference. I went with digital for all of mine. I PM'd you a video of my setup with the opening ceremony and all.
