Import Builders 2.0 Killer Turbo Motor, What turbo to use?
I am getting the 2.0liter turbo killer motor from importbuilders.com and need to know what turbo you guys suggest that I run. The bottom end is good up to 25psi they told me. What kind of turbo can give that? I am going to get the inlinepro manifold to go with it. I already have a Trust FMIC that I plan to use with the setup. Also what size injectors and such will I need. I already have a Walbro 255lph high pressure intank fuel pump and I plan to go with Hondata.

i would go with 72# injectors, T3/t04e with 60-1 setup
i wold use a good standalone system such as hondata, aem,Haltech, dfi, speedpro to control your fueling and timing needs. that should be good to around 450-500hp

HKS GT30 with twin ball bearing. Some of the guys on the board have them and they are badass turbo's. If I had the money I would get one----$1200+ I think they are.
25 psi is gonna be on racegas. And if you do plan on running that much boost, I would be asking a hell of a lot more questions. Injectors are gonna have to be huge, fuel system will have to be totally custom. Tuning will have to be dead-on.
Then again, you didnt mention what horsepower you wanted to shoot for. From the sounds of it, your looking for 400+.

Re: Import Builders 2.0 Killer Turbo Motor, What turbo to use? (18gTeg)
I am placing the order for the motor today. They told me 5-7 weeks. I need to send them my B18C1 head and they are going to build that as well. What else am I overlooking. I already have a custom 3 inch exhaust all mandrel bent. I have a Greddy Profec b boost controller, HKS SSQV Bov, and I will be getting the Hondata whatever stage that I need. Please let me know what you guys think. I used to have a greddy setup but my #1 piston broke, so now I am getting the 2.0 liter from import builders to drop in the car. The greddy kit does not have enough sack to push anything, so I am t rying to sell that as well. I would like to make around 400hp if possible without to many problems. What kind of clutch should I be looking at. It will probably never see the strip as it will be more for once in a while driving or show use.

Do you sell any turbos that I can use with this setup? If so what ones and how much? Also do you carry hondata?

i usually reccommend getting your hondata from Vaportrail he is the best at that or from Rocket both are good.
I carry the full line of GT sereis garret ball bearings as well as all the precison turbos. Which flow 20% great that std garret.
I use in my setup a precision pt72 which similar to greddy t78 setup that they use on supras

Well what do you recommend for a turbo on that setup. I want to make around 400hp, and I was planning on buyig the inlinpro manifold. Should I be looking at a different one or what?

depends if you want AC or not. If you want to make all out pwr go with a true full tubular design similar to geoffs design.
For turbo i would go with a t3/t4 with larger trim on the exhaust and compressor

Word if you've got enough dough to run that block, don't scrimp on the turbo. A GT30 would be badass. Other than that a big T3/T4 60-1

That will bolt up to the inlnepro manifold with the T3 flange then right. Will I have to notch the block at all with that setup? Wher can I get the flange to make the Downpipe for that turbo?

the flange for that turbo i can get as well its not hta much extra... it will bolt directly up to the manfiodl you will have to knotch the block with the larger compressor housing.

I think people are leaving out some important questions:
1. What kind of power are you planning on making?
2. What is the primary purpose of the vehicle?
3. What is your budget?

he already said around 400hp
and he said this too "It will probably never see the strip as it will be more for once in a while driving or show use." "I still want AC."
did you read the other post at all?

Re: Import Builders 2.0 Killer Turbo Motor, What turbo to use? (TurbochargedSER)
It sounds like he has no budget at all. I would like to be able to say "Ill get Hondata, whatever stage I need"......I think he wants to make around 400 hp.
It sounds to me like you are wanting this to be in a street car right? Why are you going to try and make 400-500 hp? Why not go with about 15-18 lbs and a little less power? That way you might be able to get some traction, and still be faster than 99 percent of everyone out there. With 400+ on the street in a light *** Honda that is FWD, you are not going to get any traction, probably all the way through 4th. And also with that block 15 psi could last forever, atleast that is what it sounds like. You also say that you dont want problems, but it seems that with the more boost you run, the more problems you encounter. So turn down the boost, and let the engine live.

Re: Import Builders 2.0 Killer Turbo Motor, What turbo to use? (SlowB16)
If he has issues with A/C and if the car is a street car I personally woudl suggest a T3/T04E with the following specs:
.82 A/R Turbine Housing
Extrude Honed
Stage III Turbine
.60 A/R Compressor Housing
60 Trim Compressor
Ball Bearing
This will allow him to run either a cast iron or tubular manifold like Inline Pro, Revhard or Drag make and still retain A/C. The Ball bearing option will help spool and the larger .82 A/R Turbine housing will insure that he pushes the 400+ whp envelope. Extrude honing will also help with spool since it will be a street car!

Re: Import Builders 2.0 Killer Turbo Motor, What turbo to use? (CovertFI)
Were would I be able to find that turbo? And what kinda lag am I gonna have with it. Prices????????? I want to run around 400hp safely and not having problems is what I have to have. It will not be daily driven but must perform when I want it to. I am sending them my B18C1 bottom end so the price is a little cheaper, more like 2900. Plus I am sending them my head to have that worked as well. Let me know what you all think Or if I am forgetting something

Re: Import Builders 2.0 Killer Turbo Motor, What turbo to use? (18gTeg)
Sounds like your not getting that great of a deal if you have to send them your block too. I dunno man. Blocks are getting very difficult to find nowadays and I was under the impression you were purchasing a whole shortblock from them.
If I were you I would do some homework and find out what everything will cost you from a different standpoint. GE sleeves are like $800 give or take a hundred, bottom end is gonna be about 1100-1200 if done with Crower and JE---better prices can be found if you take the time and search around.
Sorry if I sound like Im being unrealistic, those guys do excellent work from what I know of but the money they are asking seems to be a bit much.
