Default Which IM AND tb for my setup???

I've searched this and got alot of different opinions on IM's hopefully someone here has 1st hand knowledge..

My car made 303hp and 210tq on 15lbs.. It has a garrett t3 60 trim w/63ar

My power started to drop off at 8400 rpm so i'm probably gonna have my rev limiter moved back from 8700 down to 8400..

I have a 9:1 compression built motor with stock sleeves including full supertech valvetrain with GSR cams.. I have a 3" exhaust but 2.5" dp

Looking to get in the 325hp range if possible..

Which IM best suits my setup??

I was gonna buy the edelbrock but it seems to make the most power over 8k which i'm shutting down at 8400..

I'm gonna be having the IM,3"DP and a atleast 65mm TB installed after it gets out of the paintshop and a retune my car is still very rich up top..

Change the downpipe and you will more than likley be at 325 range without changing anything else...

with the new tune you should be good to go

also looking for something to keep my stock idle normal..i HAD A SKUNK2 PRO and skunk 2 68mm TB on my LS and they messed my idle up especially on cold startups because it eliminated everything off of the back of the manifold..

yeah man i took it down to the shop yesterday.. i drop it off in the morning for paint then in 2 weeks i got a appoinment to have the 3" DP done along with the IM and TB and a fuel rail and fpr mainly for looks then i'm about done with the car i can just drive..

I'm just in the process of figuring out which IM and TB to buy i want them to retain the stock sensors though i'll probably be buying them tommorow or tuesday..

from what i've read through searches the JG makes power over 8k my turbo stops making power at 8400rpm so i'm not sure how good that setup is gonna be..

i have the STOCK obd-0 IM and TB..

Yes, the JG makes power over 8k, but that doesn't mean you won't make power before 8k. With set of CTR/ITR cams, JG IM, BDL TB, 3in. DP, and a fresh tune you will be good to go

The victor X is a very popular manifold, the skunk2 and AEBS will both probably suit your goals also.

When you are stating that they make most power over 8000+ rpm, you have to realize that you have a turbo and you are likely flowing more CFM at 5-6krpm than a N/A engine would be at 8500rpm.

IMO, for that hp level, I think you'd be fine finding a good deal on a type r manifold and TB. You'll likely see a gain going to the 3" downpipe.

Also, as you stated, the fuel rail (at 300-350whp) is for looks...

good luck

ive been debating between the victorx and the blox/skunk2 to for a while now at a low power level. Lets see if we get any answers. People who have some really before and after numbers would be nice

from what i've read on searches the victory x makes good power above 8k but sacrifices some low end tq..Considering my redline is 8400rpm before i start losing power i may just go with a aebs but then again i'm opening up the DP and TB has well so its really a crapshoot..

victorX makes good power before 8400 i would stick with the vicX

VictorX + Stock TB

Changing your throttle body isnt gonna give you much more power, its a waste of money unless ur SFWD or something
