The stock dizzy is fine, an external coil may be a good idea. Stay away from CD ignitions. "Racing" wires are more bling than function. The best plugs are NGK BKR7ES-11.

so you guys think 14-16 PSi shouldn't be any problems with stock ignition..... than i'll give it a try with new cap, plugs, wires, I will get back after i tuned with the result...

There is no best plug, each setup has its own. Magnecor gets down to the point with there wires.

First off, distributor suck thats why honda moved on to cop.

Inaccurate timing. The least intense spark compared to all other ignition systems.

I have heard that the MSD digital 6 is a very good ignition for boosted Hondas. Please correct me if I'm wrong b/c I'm looking to get that for my boosted GS-R.

Umm...what?

Everyone I know that makes over 500 HP is running a MSD CD setup. There is one person that comes to mind that got away with just the stock Honda Distro with an SS coil on his 600hp setup.

The best setup IMO right now available, is either the MSD Digital 6, Digital SCI (basically the same thing as the Digi 6, or the Digital 7. Either one combined with the SS or HVC coils will be more than enough too support over 700hp.

And about the plugs...everyones setup is different. It is going to take a lot of testing to find the right plug that will make the most power without misfiring/detonating. There is a huige difference in a 200hp setup running the 11s versus a 600hp setup running 9s. The 600hp setup would definetly be detonating if they were running the 11s.
