Idle Problem...HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!
Last week I got my JRSC installed with the Hondata 2b. It pulls like a beast and runs great and all that good stuff, however the idle fluctuates constantly. It barely ever stays the same. Sometimes it will idle normally, for about a full day. Then the next day, it will vary inbetween 1000 and 1500 every second or so, never stopping at one of the two. And today...it is fluctuating in between 500 and 1000. I am completely baffled, because this just doesnt seem right to me. Any suggestions fellas??? Thanks in advace--

if its running closed loop then you are not tuned well enough at low MAP and rpm. You really need to be tuned as close to 14.7 A:F as possible there because the closed loop system (and stock O2 sensor) can only compensate within a narrow range (say +/- 15%). You may want to have someone burn an open loop chip for you until you can get that tuned well enough. If your idle was good before hondata then there is no reason to think it is anything but that!

thanks man....I didnt know if it was the charger doing it or hondata, but im pretty sure that it was hondata...I just dont want to sacrifice the power that I made because I put down some pretty impressive numbers from my research, but the idle problem is just completely pissing me off.

I've been playing with my idle on my hondata and i think you should look at your target idle and IAC duty cycle settings if you have access to ROMEditor or know someone with it... A high surging idle is a good indication of your IAC duty cycle being too high..
