ic efficiency question?
i have a pwr ic. my outlets are both towards the bottom of my endtanks. i was thinking(almost too hard about this) what if i put one outlet on the top of the endtank and then keep the other outlet on the bottom? i was thinking since theyre both on the bottom of the endtanks(like most are pretty much) the air is only traveling through the bottom half of the ic core. but lets say i put one outlet on the top and keep one on the bottom so then it will be using the whole core. maybe this is really stupid but im just thinking about getting the most efficiency that i can. what do you think? i gotta aluminum guy around here that can do the work but i only wanna do it if its worth it.
Yup, that's a good trick that you can do to improce IC efficiency. Good job picking up on it!
Some well-deisgned intercoolers will have air splitters inside the endtanks, which will send half of the air to the upper half of the core, and the other half of the air to the bottom half of the core. Once you get the endtank off, let us know if it has that.

ill post a pic as soon as i get it done, im gonna leave the turbo side outlet on the bottom half of the end tank and im gonna redo the intake side of the ic and put the outlet on the top half of the end tank. good idea? i think it is. i will also be finishing up my manifold tomorrow so ill post some pics of that sometime this week
