iac problems with Skunk2 manifold and RPM service 70mm TB
current setup:
b18c1 - motor swap in 99ek w/ boost
swapped out the stock intake for a skunk2 manifold -- since i got the manifold, i figured that upgradeing to an aftermarket t-body wouldn't be bad. so i got a 70mm RPM SERVICE T-Body. well after bolting the t-body to the intake, i notice that i need to port match the intake to the t-body. since then i found out that the Skunk2 manifold only can be bored out to 68mm. also i'm going to have a problem with IAC since i have an aftermarket t-body.?
this is my question ??
since i'm building a car for boost, am i going to have to run my car with IAC? cause the RPM Service t-body doesn't have coolent ports 2 run with IAC.? also if i port match the intake, i'm going to run into with more IAC problems?
does anybody have info that they can share?
-- should i just ditch the skunk2 manifold and go with something different?
let me know what you think

Where in upstate NY you are located?
I like the Skunk2 IM, its a good peice. Id personally ditch the big TB since that is the source of hte IAC problems and I dont think theres much to gain with a big TB, at least not as much as a good manifold.
And I dont know how you'd use a car without a IAC. Thats the idle air control.
Id like to know how ppl use aftermarket TBs if they dont have coolant ports for the IAC.

Re: iac problems with Skunk2 manifold and RPM service 70mm TB (Muckman)
i'm located in the binghamton, ny area.
since i plan on running boost, i have a Hondata s200b w/ obd-1 p72, if that helps anyone!?.
i might just sell the t-body and have my stock gsr t-body bored out.
anyone else??

iac is on the back side of the upper plenum, not on the t/b
ive been running a 70mm t/b on my accord for a lil past 2 years, no problems,
just have the t/b entry on the manifold cut for 68mm's, put your t/b on and call it a day

Re: iac problems with Skunk2 manifold and RPM service 70mm TB (SOHCArchangel)
ya, the iac is on the back of the int. manifold , it is has coolant lines running to the t-body, on the gsr. now the RPM Service t-body doesn't have lines for the iac to hook up too.
also on the skunk2 maifold, once the entry port is bored out to 68mm, the coolent port on the t-body entry side of the intake to the RPM t-body is due to leak. that is why i'm trying to see if there is a way to not have iac with what i have ?- or just ditch the t-body?

dude, the iac NEVER hooks to the t/b
perhaps your talkign about the FIV, you dont need that thing anyway, jsut use the blockoff plate, they did give you a blockoff plate, didnt they?

Fast Idle Valve, yes, its pointless really

folow the coolant line from thremostat housing to the iac and just bypass the t/b, route directly to the iac

the bbk i have came with one, you can have one made, or fab one yourself, aint too hard
jsut for posterity's sake show me a pic of what you have, so i dont get confused, LOL
