For some reason my car keeps eating IAC's it has gone through 7-8 in the last 6 months.... i have no idea why they keep going bad

Has Anyone experienced this before?

i have a Edelbrock IM and Ericks TB if that helps...

any thoughts welcomed, i just need to figure this **** out

 

DAMN! 7-8 in 6 months? Thats expensive.

Anyhow, how do you know they are going bad? Maybe something else is the problem?
It throws a cel 14 right?

 

Are you overdriving it with an EMS setup?

 

usually it wont throw a cel..... the car just shuts off everytime i stop.... as soon as i replace it, everything goes back to normal....

not too sure if the tuner did anything with the EMS

 

I meant like the AEM EMS... You can put in parameters for the IAC and some people have overdriven it causing it to fail.. If you are running the stock ECU then forget about my comment

i had a problem with mine and i changed the clip and now it works

its running stock duty cycle on the iac in the hondata settings.

 

check the resistance on the IAC. if you have already done so, what is it?
