Default I screwed the pooch this time

coles notes below

Ive mis shifted before(once) and everything was ok.
Ive revved my car to 9k more than a few times and it was alright(even under boost)-b16a2
but the other night i was on it full throttle in 3rd gear heading back to work.
I had my workboots on and was thinking whether or not i could really feel the pedals through them(i cant) all while reaching redline in third(now back to 8300)
well I pulled the good old im a granny driver cant shift for **** cause im not paying attention into 2nd gear from 8000 in 3rd. uhh, yeah.
I saw a huge puff of smoke out the back and figured this time it was fucked. well the car didnt die, make noise nor did it smoke (just had that initial cloud) I let it sit. then drove around more and gave it some stick and it seemed fine. It then started to misfire. I knew something was a miss(no ****) I left it(had to work) i then got in the car and it was fine. Drove home(easy) and it was just like normal. Again, no noises, smoke etc.
I pulled the plugs and #3 looked awful. covered in ****.
I replaced it. Next day to work car drove fine till the tim hortons drivethrough where it started to misfire(#3 doesnt fire at all)
I leave it be(same thing when I go home..drives fine)
I wake up and go for a drive the next day. I pull the #3 plug after the drive and its covered in oil . damn. I really f*cked it this time.
I do a comp check and all were low but consistant across the board. (120 ) I think the tester might be bad plus the fact it wasnt done 100% right.
Anyways.
Something is up but car drives fine for a while then the # 3 plug gets doused in oil and wont fire for a while till it gets cleaned off by the fuel or something then its good again.
gonna pull the head tomorrow night and see whats up. I though cracked ring land but a friend said it sounds liked a chipped valve and it somehow messed up the valve guide or something and its leaking some oil from it. who knows. I guess ill find out .
I still dont know what I want to do. I wanted to have a stock motor but this gives me an excuse to buy parts. I havent decided yet.

CN: me dumb shifter= something messed in the motor.
anyone know what kind of revs the motor saw(as i wasnt logging at the time ) 8000 rpm 3rd gear back to second.(for at least a 1 sec and 1/2 before i put the clutch back down) yeah me I suck.

Is the oil on the threads of the plug?

Was this your sedan or the hatch?... Sorry to hear that man.

A down shift at 8K+ has gotta be around 9K+.

well, if you assume an 8k shift in 2nd drops to about 6k in third, and 8k shift in third would be 12k in 2nd. Thats just an estimate.

Sorry to hear man, I hope its not anything too nasty.

NOPE!
i knew it wasnt blown but I thought I couldve bent a valve or something like that but turns out it was all just the injector plug.
