i ordered a s200b and it didnt come with the 3 step stuff.. do i have to send this back to get it reprogramed or can i just get the clutch swich, wire, shift light and wire, and there was someting else but i forget..

Remember the new S200 pricing and standard option that so many people complained about? Many people didn't feel they should pay for something that they never use. Therefore, Hondata decided to bring backup the "original" S200 which doesn't come with the 3 step. However, I was under the impression that the S200 options can be activated by entering some codes which can be provided by the dealer... But if you have already paid for the 3 step, then you should receive the clutch switch, and interface cable.

Edit: I just checked my box, you should also receive the shiftlight and the programming push button with the 3 step.

Just call them up and tell them whats up and then they will give you an unlock code . I have one myself. If you have any more questions IM me.

i am im just making sure whats what..
i dont see anything about enabling 3 step... do i just need the clutch swich and wires?

you will atleast need a clutch wire going from your clutch to the hondata, so the hondata knows when to hold your rpms..etc..etc. I just soldered the wires that hondata gave me to my stock clutch sensor. You can also rig up a switch so that if you go road racing or autoX'ing to shut off the hondata clutch switch, or just unplug it from the hondata.

so all i have to do is get a wire for the clutch swich and just sodder it onto my factory one? why the hell does hondata want 125 for that? ahaha also can i just use any push button... is it the kind that once u let off the putton it turns off i think they call that momentary or something like that.... like purge button for nos.?

You seem to have an odd situation on your hands. But yes, pretty much what you said is correct. If I were you, I would go onto the hondata forum and ask some questions there or call up hondata. You might still hafta unlock the option.

If you are talking about the User Area http://hondata.com/dealer/dealer.php , I believe it's only available to RomEditor v3 users. Did you purchase the RomEditor too?
