i need some opinions..
hi guys,
i've been here for awhile but only reading your topics..but now ive finally register..
aniway...here's my situation..
i just bought a car recently..not a car of my choice since i needed a car so bad..
i ended up with a 97CL 2.2 auto..
the problem is that i really want more power..
i was looking for aftermarket parts but none really seem to give my auto any power..
i've always love boost..so i was wondering if it is even worth it to boost my f22..
ive heard about the torque converter..
but to be honest..i have no idea exactly how it functions and the details..
would it really help my auto if i do go turbo?
well...any info would be much appreciated..

if you turbo your car....you will absolutely need the torque converter.....i had a friend that did an ls vtec/turbo automatic set up on his ls, and his tranny was shot after a week of only 6psi... the automatic transmition just isnt enought to handle the power..... as for the torque converter itself, i dont really know too much about it, he ended up converting his car to manual
