i need a new fuel pump.......
well, actually it's my friend who needs the fuel pump. What i need to know is can he go ahead and install an aftermarket high volume one even though it's not needed yet? Here's the detail: right now it's an n/a h22a, but he KNOWS he will be going turbo in the next few months......so this part will have to be replaced anyways.
He needs a new one regardless, it must be changed now, but instead of putting another factory replacement..........is it ok to go ahead and run the high volume? Will it hurt anything to use it on the all motor setup in the meantime?

so as long as we keep the stock fuel pressure, then we can go ahead and put on the 255 hp fuel pump, even though we won't be putting the turbo on for a few months from now?

The Walbro 255lph HP will raise the fuel pressure and make the car run pig rich. Be prepared to compensate for this. Other than that, go for it..

explain on how a fuel pump will raise the fuel pressure?
Thats why you have a fuel pressure regulator.
Keep the fuel pressure stock and install the pump.
