I'm not going to metion the salvage places name, but where i bought my motor from. He assured me that i had 67,000 miles on my motor. Instead I just recieved a carfax reprot and I have 107,731 as of 1/23/03..............what steps do I need to take.

first contact better business bureau in the area. Second talk to the salvage yard that you purchased the motor from. Take the information go up there explain to him that this what it shows and see if you can get some form of a refund. I think there is no guanrantee on used parts though. Most places at least state they are like that .

 

Well hopefully it's a mistake and there has to be a good explanition behind this.

 

Do you have it in writing? If so, he owes you something, otherwise take his *** to small claims court. They will probably want to settle out of court, since they are a corporation and will be required to have a lawyer which will cost more than they owe you.

 

I have my reset but it's not on the reset anywhere what the milage is. He just told me and I worte it down.
