WTF!?! I call everwhere and no one has any of the main upper/lower and rod bearings for my B18C1 GSR! This sucks bigtime because I have everything ready to put my motor back together! I have called a few places and they give me this national back order crap and that it will take 4+ weeks to get the engine bearings in! Sucks bigtime!
This leads me to ask the next question.

Is there any other substitutes to Honda OEM's engine bearings?

I need my car running like last week and I can not wait another freakin month to have it up. It is my only car for transportation.

What do you guys think of Clevite bearings or any other third party/aftermarket manufacturer out there?

I need your advice bigtime!

WHy would you want to mess with aftermarket bearings in your motor...stick OEM honda...its worth the extra $50 or so.

I think green and brown are backordered now.

About 6 weeks ago I ordered all mine and found everything but 2 lower brown mains... and a guy on here hooked me up with them

yellow are backordered also. I talked to earl about the situation and he found a bearing that is the same construction(tri-metal) and quality of the honda bearing AND they are cheaper. they are called ACL bearings. He is looking into becoming a dealer for those bearings. Send him an im if you need some.

Who is this Earl? I would like to know more about the ACL bearings he is talking about.

I need upper/lower main bearings (black,brown,green) and rod bearings (brown,green, and yellow)

If anyone has a link to Clevit's bearings for the B18c1 please post the link. I only can find stuff for '90-93 integras.

do a search with the creater's name of earl and then im him.

 

I hope to have prices, info and availability on ACL bearings in the next day or two. I use these in all the race motors I build and have had zero failures.

ARGH! So it's YOU guys that are causing the hold up! haha...me and my friend have been waiting for our bearings for weeks..
it's normal to wait weeks for bearings...especially when they have to fly them in from around the country.

btw...i would only use OEM Honda Bearings
