Default I got the the Track on Wednesday...

I finally got to the track Wednesday night, it was my first time there so I was really nervous. I was running my street tires and I am really happy with my run. Here is the video clip of the run:

http://vids.myspace.com/index....6&n=2

(sorry about the myspace link, if anyone knows a better place to host the vid let me know)

The car is full interior and set up how I drive it everyday. The race weight was 2654 and power level is in the signature.

I'm hoping with a set of drag radials and removal of my spare and tools next time I can get into the 12s. I would also like to tune my cam gears and 10psi.

I need some more seat time to get my R/T and 60ft down. There were so many cars out, only got two runs after being there for about four hours.

Let me know what you guys think and any tips would be appreciated! Thanks!

damn thats real good for a first timer on street tires. i guess youre right at the power level where its still possible to keep traction with street tires. Good job, I hope you beat some stangs

Yea and LSD is nice too . My second race that night i lined up with a stang that looked and sounded nasty, but when we launched he went boom and they had to push him off the track. If thats not beating on stangs I dunno what is haha.

Oh and I blew the second run, spun real bad on the launch. I was just glad I got the good run first!

see thats some very good power on that many pounds, i only dynoed at 241 on like 8.5 pounds, but i had problems on the dyno and manifold leaks up the ***, and only a 2.5 down pipe, so when i go back im hoping for some good numbers like that, GOOD JOB!!

for those of you that are too lazy to click on the link, here is what i posted in the past on how to get a good 60ft time

lets see, i heat them up first for about 3-4 secs with the ebrake on.
then i get to the starting line adn i hold the clutch down and hold my revs aroudn 4k or so, then i wait till i see the second yellow and launch right before green adn i dont give it full gas right away, i let the clutch out slowly while giving it about 3/4 gas then i dump the clutch and give it full gas at the same time, INSTANT BOOST.
it takes lotf of practice
