Default I Give up; Help!!!!!!!!

I have tired the impossible to solve this problem.

My bolts holdling the manifold and the turbo together keep on coming out. I have tried everything.

Lock-tight, locking washers, million set of bolts, and still, they come loose.

It's precision SC-61 on a old school lovefab shorty manifold. Yes I realize that the turbo is heavy as *****, but any solutions out there for me??

I really don't want to spot weld the turbo and the manifold

TIA

Do your bolts just thread into the mani or do you have nuts for them? If it doesnt have any nuts just put some lock washers and nuts on them and see if that helps.

I can only put nuts on the front ones because the back ones are hidden by the runners.

Yah I have locking washers on all of them.

this guys idea was cool and cheap. I'm sure you have a coat hanger lying about. If you don't I have a cool jdm one i'll let you have.

tighten your bolts down then take a hanger and place it along the top of two bolts. Then weld the ganger to the top of the bolts. You only need like two beeds per bolt. This will keep them from turning and you can remove if need.

Yes I do. But on the back ones, I said that beause you can't see the top of them. They run into the runners.

By the way, I had tried STuds with nuts on them too, they had the exact same problem.

can you bolt the turbo to the manifold and then drop it in as one unit?? thats what i did and i have an equal length manifold.

you can also buy the bolts with the holes for some safety wire and do it that way, similar to the coat hanger method.

what kind of bolts are you using, stainless, case hardened??? what are they made of?

chances are they are heatin/contracting/expanding, at a different rate then you manifold is, and this is causing the slack

Yes I can drop the turbo and manifold as one unit, but what difference does that make?

I can't remember what kind of bolts I have one right now. I went through so many sets that I lost track.
