well, the pics will be delayed a little while, i might just have blown up the zc last night. not too sure yet
heres what happened: i had finished installing the fuel pump and adjusting the pressure etc, etc.. drove to my friends house about 30 minutes away and we went for a drive. the car was feeling a little sluggish for some reason so we decided to go back to his house. on the way there i got into it in 1st and 2nd gear then let off and the car would not idle. i thought i had just blown out a check valve. but i got out and checked and they were all there so i drove to his house(about 1 min.) half way there the car shut off and smoke poured out the exhaust smelled like gas. engine was flooded. here comes the strange part, we pushed it to his house and i pulled a vacum line and they were all filled with gas! so the lines were all flooded with gas, pulled the spark plugs and each cylinder had about 2 inches of gas in it.
well i cleared all the gas out, took off the fmu, regualtor and inline pump, took out the check valves and replaced the spark plugs, the car still will not run right, idles like **** and misfires bad. all the plug wires are firing, but cylinders 2 and 4 are not working. my conclusion is that the gay FMU took a **** and fuel got into the vacum lines completely flooding the motor. tomorrow i will try to figure out why it only runs on 2 cylinders, its either the fuel or compression.
what do you guys think???
sorry for the long post.
