Default I finally hit 12's with my SOHC!!!

Last night I ran 12.9 twice, 12.8 twice, and a best run of 12.678 @ 108.88 mph! Trapspeeds ranged from 108-111 mph with a best mph of 111.30 mph.

I'm so happy! These runs were on 9.5 psi of boost, and using some 205/50-14 BFG G-force drag radials at 15 psi.

My 60' times were in the 1.9-2.0 range, with a best of 1.928

Here's my best run:

60' - 1.928
330' - 5.339
1/8 - 8.155
mph- 86.51
1000' - 10.605
1/4 - 12.678
mph - 108.88

Ya gotta love the SOHC!!!

Hey good job bro. I have a 96 civic HB cx and I have put in a 99 ex motor and a t28 turbo set-up. The car was dyno tuned at 9 psi to make 205 whp. Now I have full interior and ac, so the car weighs in at 2300 lbs or so and at the track I am having problem getting traction even with nitto drag radials 555r. My 60ft was a 2.34 and I ran a 13.5 @ 103mph at 9 psi. I have tried different launching techs but I am getting to much wheel hops. I have ordered some slicks and soon I will be headed to the track.
Now what I wanted to ask you was what have you used to tune your car?? Hondata, etc..
Did you notice a good power gains with the zex cam??? I am looking for a cam and I was going to go with crane or crower, but if you have noticed a good power differance with the zex cam than I would rather go with it.
Thanks
Rahim

He's got 15psi in the tires and 9.5psi in the intake manifold. Just thought I'd clear that up.

Yeah, I'm running the Apexi kit on my 94 Si hatch and I'm loving it. 6 lbs spools by 2700 rpm. You gotta love ball bearings.

12's are awsome. Congrads

I am amazed ... I'm a big supporter of the SOHC but I am truly surprised that you are doing so well with the Greddy. Good job!

Hey, thanks for the props guys.

Quite a few of your ?'s are answered in my sig.

My fuel setup is- 255 lph in-tank pump, RC 310's, and the blue box. I use a B&M commandflo fpr to adjust fuel pressure and tune the A/F ratio. That is it.

Ignition is stock, 1 degree retarded timing.

Suspension is- Tenzo-R 2 1/4" drop springs on stock shocks, and Z10 bars.

At 5 psi of boost, the ZEX cam only made power over the stock cam above 6800 rpm. The stock cam dropped off slightly at that point, whereas the ZEX holds level until redline. But from idle to 6800 rpm it lost about 5 hp and torque all across the board.

I kept it in though cause I don't feel like changing the cam again, and the car is fast, so I don't care.

please don't flame me ,,guys.
i see that he uses RC310's ... but i don't understand whats the use of them without some unit controlling them (like a VAFC or a hondata standalone comp)

The stock ecu and bluebox don't support bigger injectors ???? right???

Help me out here.

thanxx

the stock ecu will run 310's on its own. The blue box just makes it a little better. I hear you can't run larger, but you can, however you will be VERY rich at part/full throttle depending on your power output.

Right. The car runs really rich right now until it comes into boost. At part throttle and stomping on the gas at low rpm the car will stutter a bit before taking off. A VAFC would fix that, but I'm too cheap to buy one right now.
