it just feels like when i hit boost all the way to redline,i cant feel a difference when vtec is supposed to kick.is it supposed to be like that for boosted cars or is something wrong with vtec?thanks for your replies

 

I cant feel mine either...but mine kicks in at like 3000 I think...O well

 

i would have to say i can feel mine but its different than when it was allmotor...now its like when vtec kicks in it cause teh turbo to really spool fast then bang redline is there but i can defently hear it kick in

Turn the boost down to 5psi and you'll feel VTEC
I run mine at 14psi for most of this year, down to 7 for the daily drive and I feel VTEC again, its what Honda is all about

 

mine is set at 5.5 psi

 

some cars just don't engage as hard as others

 

depends on tuning, cams, turbo, boost, ect

 

I really dont feel VTEC until 3rd gear in my car when bringing up the rpm's from a low point...boost>Vtec

 

The point of VTEC is not to "feel" it.

Correct. Unless you're running some big cams, your tuner should have set it up so vtec engagement is smooth.

 

you shouldnt be able to if the car is fast

 

unplug the vtec solenoid then take it for a ride.. if theres no vtec then youll feel it

 

you still have vtec it's just making the turbo spool a whole lot fast but you can still feel it , at least I can in my friends hatch when it hits
