OK i was on my way to go to the dyno in mobile and i was driving in 5th gear and i maybe boosted about 8 and then i see boom and white smoke everywhere from the engien bay and the exhuast. and oil all over my engine bay seems like it came fromt he ll the little breather hole on the valve cover.

I took the spark plug out of cylinder 4 and it had oil and fuel mixture on it.But cylinder 4 has good compression. and spark but seems to me it just keeps gettign flooded out so it wont spark.. Before all of this my friends did tell me that my car was smoking white when i shift but it was only all small amount can anyone shed some light on this for a fellow booster...

Tune it better this time too. Nothing wrong with boosting in 5th gear if your motor is tuned properly.

Couldnt i just get a stock piston and rungs from my other spun bearing blocks and drop on of them in the 4th cylinder Lol

white smoke is normally an indication of a bad head gasket. or a cracked sleeve. but this doesnt explain the oil in the cyl

how does it run, do a compression and leakdown test and then you can tell us if it's ok yourself. White it coolant, blue is oil, make sure your colors are right.

after my dyno session, we were street tuning my car and in a 5th gear pull (advised by the tuner) I heard a noise, then TONS of white smoke out the back of the car, like james bond smokescreen. Turns out an injector failed and the motor cracked a cylinder BAD!!!

The injectors were used when I bought them and I didn't get them flow tested, that was my bad and it was a very pricey/time consuming lesson.

so you were going to the dyno to get tuned and you were boosting on the way?

im confused, why would you do that? or was it already tuned and you were going to get a retune?

not everyone tunes on a dyno, some just use it to measure. But, if you were going to the dyno for tunning, then out, course he didn't say if he was doing a pull, or just boosting like passing someone. Either way, whats the compression say, you said it has good compression, but how compared to your other cylinders.

It could just be oil seeping in due to high crank case pressure. Might not have anything to do with engine failure.

We took the head off and the 4th piston is cracked

Same thing happend to me when I was running D-series. I boosted in 5th for a long time (really bad idea learned my lesson good) I melted every SRP piston and one of my Eagle rods actually got burnt. Shot oil over everything Including the windshield. White smoke too. Damn I love breaking stuff...

Buy a new bottom end if the head is ok...

This dude hasn't sent me the head I paid for on the 19th

Doesn't reply to PM's, to emails, or to the FS thread.

Picked up his cell phone once yesterday March 30th and again he said he would ship the head.

Called him last night to verify that he shipped and he didn't answer his phone.

Sorry to bring this in here but that is the only way to get this guy's attention. I am gonna follow every thread you create and every post you make to make sure you don't scam another person again.
