I am SO sick of my car and it's BS....
Mind you the past 2-3 days I was driving the GS-R around, I decided today to take the Civic out again... what a mistake!
First of all, the fact that it's an ugly *** rainy day and traffic on the 'Pike is NOT MOVING doesn't help, but does my car make me feel any better? Nu uh.. POS doesn't want to idle for nothing, keeps stalling on me on the frikkin highway when it wants to, every day there's a new clunk, new smell, my tranny is SHOT to hell, mounts are shot with them, needs new axels, spent $1500 for a standalone and tuning and now that it runs like *** the tuners (SFP) don't want to give me the time of day.... this is BBBBSSSSS and I'm sick of it. It's so incredibly refreshing to drive the GS-R. No tranny issues, f--king car WILL IDLE right, no annoying sounds or smells.. just a normal car.
Honda's were *NOT* meant to be turbo'd and I now know why. All-motor is the way..
P.S. oh yea, the guy I wanted to build my motor wants me to spend $4000 now! Hmm, custom sheet metal intake, $2800 in head work for a PnP, larger valves and valve openings, external oil pump... the problem is he's too used to people saying "what? $30k? no problem here's a check..." well I don't make that kind of money and frankly, $4000 to build a motor (mind you this is WITHOUT parts) is absurd

Heh ouch... Don't give up completely just yet. It'd be sad to see you leave the FI forum and give up boosting your Civic after you have been working so hard on it.

dont worry about it...youve got the gsr...drive it everyday till you can fix the civic.... it will all work out!

That's funny. I'm in the opposite position...I drive a civic for my daily driver that's pretty much stock but I'm re-building the gsrt. lol
Don't worry, you will work things out. I'm hoping things workout for me too with some help from HT members.

Damn that sucks Dave. I was just about to IM you to see if you solved the idle/starting problems. I still haven't figured mine out.

me too, that's almost scaring me away from boosting my EX because Dave has the same car with the same Greddy kit and he's having hella problems.

That stinks, but it sounds like your other non-turbo problems are increasing your frustration about the turbo problems.........fix that **** first, then you won't be so freaked by the idle crap.
