hybrid tranny
so for us high hp builds, i started thinking if building a hybrid tranny would be worth the effort. I mean, im running an estimated 350-375 hp with 430 front 545 rear lb/in springs, trac bars, hasport street/strip mounts, drag radials, and well first gear is completly useless, and second isnt any better.
Thinking about using a gsr gear set with an ls final drive, as well as possibly switching the gsr 5th gear to an ls 5th (4500 rpm on the highway sucks). Would an ls tranny case have to be used since (i believe) a gsr final drive/ diff is larger? Basically i want to lower the gearing, but not increase the the ratio from one gear to the next.
Any input or better ideas?

Re: hybrid tranny (adictionbass)
Best luck is B16 1,2 GSR 3,4 LS 5... then use ITR final drive, but since you want to keep your RPM's down in the highway just stay with 4.4 final
