Thats not that big at all ... F1 motors in the 80's didn't rev that high, around 10-12K, that turbo is for half a motor though and they were limited to 1.5L so that gets supplied and feeds only 750cc's...

How big do you really think it is?

 

this ons is the biggest turbo i have seen on a car

the biggest snail i have seen was a mustang with a T3000 supercharger on it..... **** was about 14 inches wide

the biggest turbo itself, is at the junkyard on a caterpillar digger machine

 

Biggest turbo I ever saw was on the backup diesel generator on an Ohio-class submarine. Bigger than me.
