hp limits on laskey race engine?
ok. i am starting to piece together my new build right now and im am looking to go big. i know i want to get sleeved but beyond that i dont know. i was looking at the laskey sleeved bottom ends they sell for like $3400. does anyone know wut the limit on those motors are. with the pauter rod sleeved set up.but then again im thinking of just piecing my own set up together. i was thinking b16 sleeved block bored to 81.5 or more, lightned ls crank micropolished, eagle h beams, wiseco 8:9:1 cr pistons(anyone know the power limit on wisecos?) with wiseco rings, arp hardwear and head studs, cometic head gasket, new oil pump water pump timing belt etc. , ported b16 head, type r cams, omni valves, springs, retainers, edilbrock victor x intake manifold, bbk throttle body. i am up for suggestions on turbo size and wut turbo to go with. i would like to make 450 to 550whp or more if possible. tell me wut you guys think

at 500whp those engines are just going to yawn at you.
Seriously throw whatever power you want to it, but do the research on your own. You can easily look at other setups and copy away, but don't expect people to spoon feed you info for YOUR car.

quality work and top notch parts arent cheap. you get what you pay for in these instances.

because you mentioned nothing about custom rods and pistons which would be required.

The B16 block with an LS crank would require some really short rods or really short pistons, neither of which you want for 450-550 WHP if you want it to last. Use a B18C block/crank.

to add to the list of other places you could look at. if you want to make that kind of power send your block to anyone of those companies and see what they recommend for those power levels.

Consult with a good shop with a good reputation for building strong Honda motors. Pay them a lot of $.
Either that or do a lot of searching and a lot of reading.

If your going to buy a race motor bottom end and fork out a ton of money anyways why wouldn't you just go with a B18? More money?
