Default How will the weather affect boost?

If it is hot and humid will your turbo be limited to how much boost it can produce?I was getting almost 23psi,(the car hasn't been ran for a couple months)and now i am maxxed out at 20psi.

hot air = less dense = boost gauge won't read as high. but then the waste gate shouldn't be seeing as high of pressure and opening later.
the wastegate should compensate for this and allow the turbo to boost more.

So I think you still should see 23 psi.

you are right about the weather the air is to thin to make alot of boost, but with the wastegate staying shut i dont think it would matter because your car will run like crap, read my post about my weather problem https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=943769 i think we have the same problem and is weather related, i drove my car today and it was still humid but it ran better.

but if there is no air to compress you will not boost as high, hi humidity = less air, which has alot of water vapor in it btw.
