how thick of a headgasket
I have a 1996 integra with a garrett t3/t4 running on 10psi of boost on the stock b18b1 motor and im going to order a cometic head gasket what thickness should i get?
How about you DON'T get cometic because there is like a 75% rate of failure based on threads I've read in this forum. I had a problem with them to. They don't seal coolant properly. Get a GE OEM bored out headgasket. I've since had no problems, and ironically GE is always everyones fix for cometic. I've read about 50 threads on cometic vs GE...GE is better 75% of the time in peoples opinions and experiences..
Also, get stock thickness....

Never had a problem with cometic, installed on over 10 cars from 300-700whp... Also used GE with great success, either one in stock thickness should be fine.
Oem, Cometic, or goldeneagle, all three choices will work. Just be carefull of the temple guards as you piece together the silver monkey.
Sorry OP, but i had a similar question and thought this would be ok to ask.
Golden Eagle,
I have a k20 that is 88.4x mm bore and the block seems to be over decked. I am looking for a head gasket slightly thicker than oem to run this set up.
Any suggestions?
PM is fine.
