Just wanted to know wanted to know how much boost/rpm they could handle. I would like to run 10-12 psi and turn 8800-8900. I'm definitely getting some forged 10:1's but I wanted to know if I could get away with using the stock rods. What about ARP rod bolts and shotpeening? Thanks for the help.
PS Tuned with Hondata so tuning shouldn't be too big of a concern.

I ran 14lbs on stock internals for a couple of days with no problems and 10 lbs daily for the whole summer. Reved to 8200 all the time. I think that the motor likes it personally.
tuning wouldn't really play a role with the amount of revs a rod could take, but more on how many cycles a rod could take in a given amount of time. B16's have fairly strong internals from the factory, and I've heard that the stock rods could be spun all the way up to 9500 rpm, but since I haven't seen and proof of that, lets just keep that at heresay.
Shotpeening would be a good idea, it'll strengthen the steel, and should give you more room to work with. Personally, I'd just go with some stronger rods to begin with, just to play it safe

B16 rods can handle more than people think. It's the sleeves that you have to concider. So when most people get their blocks re-sleeved the will give it the works w/ rods and pistions. I'd say that if you motor was sleeved & you had some aftermarket pistions you could easly push 15-16psi on the rods itself.
