Default how safe is it.....

to boost on a stock bottom end with around 206k on it daily driven i have a built bottom end but jw how safe it is to do it

its as safe as you make it.....which is best answer i can give you without knowing the rest of your setup(fuel management, injectors, internals,etc)

please include as much info with your questions as you can to get a better response from people.

sorry about that..... its bone stock bottom end with a fully built head........ t3/t4 turbo .50 trim, tuned on crome, 550cc inj

i heard those blocks were good for around 200 whp although others have pushed them farther.

Y8 would probably be more likely to fail from continuous high RPM operation that it would see boosted. If you don't want to spin a rod bearing I'd say keep the rev limit low.

no lol i have the built head and turbo kit .... but i wanna boost now and be buildin the bottom end right..... can i do boost on the old stock bottom end for awhile then put in the built bottom end....

You can do anything you'd like and it may work out but I wouldn't risk it. That's alot of miles on the old bottom. It could be in great condition or it could be ready to pop. If something goes south and damages that built head, you're in for even more $$$. Do it once, do it right.

Always boost a stock bottom end before the built one. It only gives you more experience before risking the money block.

As long as the engine is healthy, there's no reason not to boost it. Get a good tune and you're good to go
