How to run 2 boost settings with hondata!!!!!!!!
Hey,
I have been wondering about this for some time the only way that I can think to run 2 different oosts with hondata would be to have 2 chips burnt for 2 different boost settings. I guess I am wondering is it possible to switch from one boost setting to another with electronic boost controller and only have one chip for your ecu?

no, just have your tuner setup your hondata for the higher boost. then you can run your car on the lower boost setting and higher boost setting won't really do anything til you decide to turn up the boost.

I would think for this you would need two different chips...

Say you run 18psi on 93 octane and want to run 12psi with 93 octane... you will use the same map.
If you want to go from 93 octane to a higher octane, you can use the same map if you do not change your ignition tables or settings. Usually when going from a lower octane to a higher octane you will use two different type of ignition maps since higher octane burns leaner and you can advance your timing to yield more power. It basically depends on how your tuner decides to tune your car. Most likely you will need to run 2 different chips when switching from 116 to 93 and vice versa.
On my set-up it was tuned for 13psi on pump gas and 20psi on 103ish octane. We were running out of time so we did not change any ignition tables so I run both 103 and 93 on the same map. Next session I will be using 2 different maps for 93 and 116.
