a nice weld
here is what we did for the foot bar... now whats wrong with this picture (a test to see who has actually done some tube work)
its a repost, but its fi related because i think its one of the most hardcore turbo chassis in this forum...

Car looks incredible!! There is just something about the raw metal look. As far as what is wrong...don't you need a backing plate like what the cage has to sit on???
-Ryan
BTW who's car is that?

Nice job, I was there Tuesday picking up my turbo and saw the work. Can't wait to see the car all done with the paint job and all the body done.

I bet when you purchased that Si you had NO clue it was going to be nothing more then a metal roll cage, a few panels, and a 500+whp motor.

the car is a race only car designed to race in NHRA's HotRod class. The motor should have between 850-1000 hp and will run off 8 1600cc/mininjectors and a motec. The chassis is being built to SFI 25.5 Spec so that it can go down to a 7.49.
this is not our car, we are building it for a customer.
the shift linkage will be custom, and go over the footbar.
the car was not purchased, it was given to us becuase it was a theft recovery. it didnt have a THING in it when we got it. just a lot of sound deadening. Anyone who does this to a nice Si is crazy
thanks for the compliments. it will look way better next time i post pics

Nice pics, and crazy setup. I always see this question asked, but almost never answered: HOW MUCH IS ALL OF THAT GOING TO COST HIM? I mean with the cage, motor setup, management, etc.? Just give me a ballpark figure so I can fathom the concept of what it takes to have THAT powerful of a setup. PM me the cost if you don't want to post it publicly.
