Icon2 How reliable is K20/K24?

Hello.
How reliable is K20/K24 turbo setup? It has oil pump cavitation problems, very narrow rod bearing (only 15mm), pistons speed at high rpm is extremely high and this leads to detonation problems. What do you think about this combo for a turbo setup? Is it reliable?
Thank you in advance.

the oil pump problem is easily remedied using a modified s2000 or k20 pump.

not sure how high piston speed is related to detonation though.

Ok but what about these narrow rod bearings? Will they hold a 1000hp like B and H series?

reliable is a relative term. what kind of racing? do you need it to last a few passes down the track or a few track days?
