Default How to read timing marks on a D16Z6

Hello I need to check+adjust my timing. After the turbo was installed they retarded the timing and I just want to know how to check myself. I see the marks on the crank. Which is which? Also I have heard about a wire you need to either short or jump, where is it at on a 94 civic EX? And one more question. What do you put in you're tranny and how often do you change it.

Thanks

I used honda MTL, change it every 15k miles or so. Also, you many want to get a helm's manual, it would tell you about timing procedures and everything else! It's very nice to have.
