Default How to read pressure on AFC

It reads in mm Hg, but I belive it was telling me .33-.35 today. When I converted it to PSI, it came to this:

0.0063811

WTF is up with this...I should be in the neighborhood of 6 PSI...anybody?

Well that's the only thing I could come up with, but the damn AFC says mm Hg ... maybe I was reading the AFC wrong. Oh well, I guess it's time to crank up the boost anyway!

If you go into the [ect] portion of the vafc, you can change it to display kg/cm2 in either 1.0 or 2.0 scales. Just set it to 1.0, because your stock map wont take more boost than that anyhow. Its pretty easy to convert, i'm actually using my vafc as my only boost gauge.

To convert, you would take .xx kg/cm2, and devide it by .070307

for example: if your reading .33
.33 / .070307 = 4.69psi

If you want to figure out what a certain psi equates to in kg/cm2, just multiply instead of devide.

for example: to figure out what 10psi is,
10 * .070307 = .70kg/cm2

Hope this clears it up a little. And thanks to Nokia for putting calculators in their phones. Makes figuring out my boost while i'm driving a snap

Got it! Cranked it up today and got .51 which is like 7.25 PSI. Can't wait to run it harder and see how much difference it makes. BTW, the AFC trick worked out great, got some 450cc Talon injectors and it's much nicer now!

It does have a hard time starting, liek it might be flooding. Anybody else doing the AFC/450cc deal experiencing this?

My car actually idles much better at a richer setting. My usual narrow throttle map is just left at -40%, but for 1000rpm and under i have it set between -25 and -30%. Try richening it up a little at idle.

Same here. Wide is set at -40, narrow at -36 and narrow 1000 set at -32, 1500 at -34.

Even at -40% it seems like its running a little rich. I'd rather just let it run rich than trust my a/f gauge. Better to spend a few more $$ for gas a week then blow my motor.
