how much power will I lose?
on my d16y7 turbo, i want to connect my downpipe to my stock exhaust system...how much power will I lose, from changing from open downpipe???downpipe is only 2-2.25 inch right now..
i had my t3/t4 connected to my stock exhaust...my car seemed like it had 10 more h/p then stock...then i ran open d/p and it felt like another 150 horses...huge difference

Yeap, my experience exactly. It's really like night and day.

When I hooked mine up to a 2.25 crushbent, stock cat and Borla straight-through muffler, I would say I lost atleast 20hp on the top end and the t3 takes about 2-300rpm longer to spool up to any given boost level. Though, it's not illegal
In any case, I am going to build a nice cut-out/dump tube this summer and everything will be right in the world

I agree 100%. No exhaust makes more power then any exhaust, and since you don't have to pay for all that piping, it's cheaper too!
