Default how much more boost?

Car was recieved w/a b20vtec, b16 head w/gsr cams and springs, stock valves, t3/t4 turbo, do not know trim on turbo find out later, has built bottom end(pistons and rods) at 9.0:1, stock sleeves . Car is street tune at 10 psi on pump 91, pulled like a raped ape at top end( from about 5800). I've seen a stock b20b at 15 psi, but could not find much more on this.

your tune will let you know... tune slowly higher till you begin to hit "the wall";

OEM sleves can take a bit if properly tuned and built.

particularly.. how much can a b20 take on oem sleeves before blowing? on a standard t3/t4 .60trim or so? just curious because i hear different opinions... but more that lean toward the fact that b20 sleeves just dont hold up as well as the b16 or b18.

wow seems to be all the people who hit these threads up dont even bother anymore....

10psi really doesent mean anything its about the CFM's but to answer your question yes b20s can handle 15psi with a proper tune and not being stupid with it. theres a local kid that was almost at 500whp with a Bone stock b16 bottem end

Stock sleeves handle up to an beyond 600whp with a proper tune and a well built engine

remember, b20 sleeves are much thinner than b16's

I wouldn't push the envelope until sleeved - better safe than sorry

350 is a good safe spot. if the tune is well enought i would go with 450. my friend also has a stock B20-V and he is making over 350 and hasn't had any problems out of it

People have hit 600whp with stock B18 sleeves, while others have cracked 81mm sleeves at 300whp. Its all in the tuning, gasoline, cooling system, and driver. If any one of those is bad at any point, boom.

sorry about leaning only on psi, which I know 11 psi on a gt 42r is not the same as a 16g turbo, just slip when I was writing the original post, thanks for all the positive comments, helps a lots

Once I get a 3bar map sensor, I will go for a 17 pound street tune, which clutch should I go for, I was thinking of stage 3 from clutchmasters

I got a deal on a sc 61, dont know the trim, but is it better than the t3/t4 57 trim I already have. I am trying to push for 450 hp w/a great tune . This build is going for drag, I dont mind if a lil laggy.

Looking for 11's
