MY question is how much hp can this turbo produce.
Is this and ok turbo for a ls/vtec.

I got it from someone in Y.O.
I would post pics later on today if not 2morrow.
But what is a .50 compressor and .84 exhaust trim capable of.
This is my first turbo, and very new to force induction(always being a allmotor guy)
so any input would be gladly appreciated. thanks

if I were selling you a horse, and told you:
It's a certain color, not sure which
And it has hooves, and teeth.
Would you be able to tell me what kind of horse it is?

Looks like a straight t04e, 57trim most likely. If you take both housings off, measure the large and small ends of both wheels, we'll tell you exactly what that turbo is, and what it can do.
As it stands, it looks like maybe 400-500whp, but won't hit full boost until 6500 if you have an undivided manifold on a 1.8L. In other words, a poor choice for that motor.

Thanks for your replys.
I would be sleeving the motor to 85.5(2.1L)
and going with 10.1 comp ratio to help it get to full boost sooner/faster.
I think it could work.
What you guys think?

That exhaust housing is HUGE! Looks like it came off a diesel.

Re: how much HP is Garrett M27 Capable of? (Finest)
why in ***** nation would you sleeve a block and then put a **** turbo on it like that? that thing looks good to about ~250...

What is stamped inside of the exhaust housing inlet (the divided part).
Pull the housings and measure the blades. Use the formulas below to get the trims.
Formula for determining trim (compressor side)
[(minor wheel diameter)x(minor wheel diameter) / (major wheel diameter)x (major wheel diameter) ] x 100= trim
T04E 60
[(2.290)(2.290)/(2.950)(2.950)] x 100= trim
(5.2441/8.7025) x 100= trim
.6026 x 100 = trim
60= trim
Turbine side:
[(major wheel diameter)x(major wheel diameter)]/[(minor wheel diameter)x(minor wheel diameter)]x100 = turbine wheel trim

I'm putting that on for now because thats what I got. Later on it would be seeing a bigger turbo.
And Yeah it makes sense to leave the block at 83 just in case. The comp ratio i'm going to bring it down to 9 to 5. Because I know later on I would be going for big boost I mean 800+ whp. I just want to have the block ready and everything else so I just have to change the turbo.

The turbo is a
T04b09(thats what I read on it)
I search some more on-line and by what I found it came of a ford tractor(maybe wrong). But can seem to get any specs on it.

Because you unfortunately are not listening to the member that stated you needed to remove the housings and measure the wheel dimensions. Those are "specs", as you are so creatively putting it.

Here's what to look for when measuring.
Here's how to calculate it. NOTE: Bigger "trim" number does not necessarily mean more power capability.. it is a distance measurement.
The Farm tractor turbos (this one in particular is smaller than a 68mm exducer from the looks of it, so I believe it is not a 57 "trim" compressor wheel at all) don't work the best on our cars with those housings at all, and I recommend that you use the correct equipment than spending good money on such a stout build and risking it all with an inappropriate turbo such as that. Just because you received it for free doesn't mean it MUST be used.
