How much head clearance is needed between the piston and head.

Default How much head clearance is needed between the piston and head.

I was told 36 hundreths is best. but will 32 work?

The stock B -series piston to deck height (except B16) is .030" and the B16 is .020". You shouldn't have a problem up to like .010". Remember this doesn't include the headgasket thickness of .030".

I don't know for big domed pistons and the combustion chamber.
