Default how much did it cost to build your engine for boost?

Just wanted to know what everyone else spent on just the engine build. No turbo included. Mines cost $5k for everything in my engine including labor, parts, and installation.

Well im planning on taking mines to 400-450whp so i pretty much replaced everything in my engine. Rods/Pistons/Sleeved/Clutch/Valves/ect. I know 700 wouldnt even pay for the parts for my build

I haven't added it all up, but it's gotta be over $7000, Dart block, custom RLZ head, custom Wiseco pistons, 95mm crank, cams, full assembly by Howard at RLZ, so much other stuff, and probably half that much again for a custom intercooled supercharger setup, and this is probably my 4th motor build. I spend way too much $ on this ****, but it's fun until it blows up

h22 h2b gsr lsd tranny, dss stage 5, tilton twin disc, je 9.0 pist, eagle rods, all parts cryo treated and coated. port polish head, skunk 2 valve train. sc61, love fab mini, tial 50mm bov, 38mm waste, PTE 600 IC coated black, love fab Down pipe. 3inc back with 3inc vibrant muffler...... lots of little parts but total 15k wraped up in the project. It's something you got to have time for. parts break and more money to fix.

I budgeted $2000 for my build in 2003 and came in under budget lol. I keep my builds simple tho.

Benson's Sleeves at 84.5mm
Endyn Pistons (84.5mm)
Crower rods
new OEM bearings
upper/lower gasket sets
--
< $2000

Rest of everything is all stock. Stock GSR manifold and TB even lol. Oh I stopped by Endyn and he opened up the combustion chambers on my head to match 84.5mm bore, that is all.

It's been an epidemic lately. I see at least 2 old threads a day that are bumped.
