zip ties

but seriously for me I had drill two holes in the bumper suport and bolted it up.

Zip ties will work though just go to home depot and get those heavey duty ones, the intercooler is not that heavy at all.

Being as though you intercooler is only 5.5 in tall you should be able to drill into the bumper support and bolt it up. My old JRC intercooler was 6in tall and I did it that way. No ground clearence issues here.

so just drill from the top down through the support and find some really long bolts that match the threads on the intercooler?

here's one way to do it that worked for me. put it under the support, where you want it, zip tip it in place to hold it there. mark the holes, cut the zipties, remove the intercooler, drill the holes, and bolt that bitch on.

i made some tabs and welded them to the support then drilled a hole. but the precision intercoolers have a tapped hole already.

looks like im not the only one rockin the zip tied intercooler

just to let you know, i did drill and tap holes, and it IS properly bolted up, i just didnt feel the need to cut the ties, since you cant see them with the bumper off. plus a little added safety doesnt hurt

when you drilled holes and bolted it on, did you get some long bolts that ran from the top of the support to the bottom?

nah, i just used a tap to thread the holes, and screwed a regular 14mm bolt on each side. holds just fine

hmmm im confused, how did you get in there to screw the bolt into the intercooler? the bumper support looks like this right [] just a steel bar hollow on the inside

drill through the bottom of the bumper support.

The bumper support is hollow, you can stick your hand in each side, this is how you put the bolt through.

i would get some L brackets made and welded onto the intercooler, then just drill a hole thru the bracket to the reinforcement beam and stick a bolt through. that's how i had mine setup. i don't think i have a picture though, mine was 6inches tall only.

yeah considering that core is 5" deep I was worried about it fitting but it fits better than any intercooler ive ever had. Dr. Napier on here made it.
