HOW important are the dowels in the head?
I put on my head and torqued it down, slapped in my cams, set my timing and put on my timing belt. Now when I look in the box from my engine builder I see one of the dowels to line up the head to the block. I have one in it already but I didn't see the other one until I already installed the head. Is this a accident waiting to happen or am I fine without the one? I also have ARP head studs that I have torqued down to 75 ft pounds of torque. What should I do?

That dowel I have in the back and the head studs not good enough? How much more movement is there?

very important...under load the head can budge...and if you are running domed pistons...your valve might just start banging your piston.
