Default Vacume LEAK PROBLEM> honda tech guys help please

Ok i guess im what you call an amatuer tuner. i understand how things work but i am no trained perfessional. I pieced to gether a turbo kit becaseu no one makes a LS kit to my liking. This is a lil problem that is really beginning to **** me off though and i cant figure it out.

HERE IS THE PROBLEM - my boost gauge reads 12-15 @ idle. ( and the idel is lower then it should be around 500 - 700 ) While driving the vacume is around 20-25 ( where it should be ) . This tells me i have a vacume leak.

Question 1. Do i have too many things running off my vacume sourses my engine makes? Off my main PCV i have my BOV and my internal wastegate. Off the other lil vacume output i have a boost gauge, my check valves, fuel pressure reg and boost dependant pressure reg.

question 2. IS there another sourse to tap a vacume line to besides the main PCV or the one to it's left. My turbo ( t25 ) doesn't have an vacume output.

question 3. could this be a throttle body problem?

question 4. does anyone make anything that i could tap all my vacume needs into?
like one device that had multiple outputs for vaume reliant diaphrams like BOV's and wategates?

WIERD FACT 4. I ran this setup with my stock engine and had no problems. When the engine blew i had it rebuilt. Since then this problem has occured since day one.

ANY INFO WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL.
thank you very much.

Hey, I would get rid of those Tees at the PCV hose. Better off Teeing all off the FPR or if you want a larger line then Tee off the brake booster!

The PCV hose will change pressures and the valve opens and closes.

just a suggestion.

Ok ok... first off put that PCV back to normal DONT TEA ANYTHING OFF IT... like the man above said it changes vacumm all the time while driving... tap all your vacumm sources (bov, wastegate, fmu, etc..) all off the vacumm line going from the FPR to the intake manifold.. I have 4 things on that line and they all run/read fine..

PCV isen't a good source for vacumm on your application. If you have any more quesitons post em up :D

that arrow points to one line running to yor evap purge valve (the black thing), but if u tee off that line, it'll take a couple minutes to get a vac signal when u turn yor car on. tee it on the shorter line (from im to evap purge valve). hth.

this may help its off the greddy page,

its for a boost controller but you can check to see where your connections are and what they might need to be

im having a hard time wrapping my brain around your pictures to really understand where everything is going, and since you put it together then you would know

hey thanks for the input pornstar. btw i checked yo ride it looks great!

i looked at the istruction for the boost controller. To make things easier to understand....

the two lines that go into the boost controller, where do they go if you dont have a boost controller? to a vacume sourse. Im trying to figure out which is the best sourse to "tap" from.
so far i have "stay away from main PCV"
and "before evap purge valve"
"brake booster"
and outlet from intake manifold. ( left of teh main PCV )

thanks guys for all your help.
seriously this site's reputation out does itself. no nonsense answers and friendly people willing to help.
ill do my best to give input on other topics..in other words this is my new fav site.

wel thanks for the good words on the civic.....i have since changed to a 99 front end, but thats off topic

ok im looking at the diagram right now

ok on this diagram and the way this OVER simplified motor is put together the line coming off the waste gate can be connected directly across to the pipe coming off the compressor going to the intake, thus deleting those 2 lines going to the boost controller,

i just had an idea, since in your original post saying that you boost 12-15 at idle, and have 20-25 vacume when driving, then it sounds like the wastegate could be backwards, or the turbo houseings needs to be swapped around...

we also have a way of fixing it its called rev the demons out

im just playing, my mechanics and i were looking at it, they are kind of dicks, old bastards

ok i have an idea,

that main PCV you are using for all your vacume connections, liek the internal wastegate and the BOV, is there another port on the back side of the intake manifold that you can run it off of, because the PCV goes into the crankcase breather it bleeds off vacume, so im not sure if thats the best source for your boost references for the wastegate and the bov...
