How high coolant temps before damaged engine?
My friends civic overheated yesterday, it's turbo'd and full rebuild K20, forged pistons, rods, full top end build with arp studs. It was over 100F here and he did a few back to back pulls. We figured out he had air bubbles in his coolant, the temps got up to around 240F if I remember correctly. How hot does it have to get for a fully built engine like that to become damaged?
I did a lot of google searching and found some people saying completely different things, so I wasn't really sure.

You won't know until you crack it apart. Unfortunately, there are too many variables outside of simple coolant engine temps at the time of the run to determine what's damaged and what's not.... Basically, we can't tell you any more as to what happened than you will until you take it apart. .
I'm sorry for your friend.
